Special Council - Closed Session - (5:00 PM)

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of March 4, 2026 come to order at 5:01 p.m.

That prior to going into Closed Session Council address enquiries to the Chief Administrative Officer.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 5:24 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose. Topic: Committee Member Selection - Professional Health Services Complex Ad Hoc Committee; and, Legal Advice re Purported Cease-and-Desist Correspondence (Requested by Petition from the Following Members: Councillor Fisher, Councillor Alexander, Councillor Moore and Deputy Mayor Cabral)

Confidential - Passed in Closed Session Resolution wording is included in the confidential closed session minutes.

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 6:25 p.m.

That the confidential memo from the Legislative - Records Coordinator regarding the Professional Health Services Complex Ad Hoc Committee Applicant Selection Package dated March 4, 2026, be received; and That Staff proceed as directed in closed session.

That Item 4.1, Procedure By-law Section 8.37 - Question Period be

That Item 4.2, Procedure By-law Section 3.7 - Special Meeting by Petition of a Majority be

That By-law 2026-010 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on March 4, 2026 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 6:27 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on March 4, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
