Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of March 18, 2026 come to order at 5:04 p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 5:06 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board;  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; Topic: Fire Hall Project - Legal Update Amended C102B-2026 Moved by Fisher Seconded by Alexander That the motion now before Council be amended to include:  A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees; Topic: Proposed Trespass Order

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 6:15 p.m.

That the confidential report from the Chief Administrative Officer regarding the Fire Hall Litigation from AREA Architects, dated March 18, 2026, be received; and, That staff proceed as directed in closed session.

That staff proceed as directed in closed session in relation to the potential trespass order. A recorded vote was requested by Councillor Moore. Yes: Cabral, Alexander, Moore, and Fisher No: Garwood and Thompson

That By-law 2026-013 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on March 18, 2026 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 6:24 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on March 18, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
