Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of May 21, 2025 come to order at 5:31p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 5:32p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  Labour relations or employee negotiations Topic: Collective Bargaining Negotiations

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 6:06 p.m.

That the confidential report from the Manager, People - Safety, Learning and Employee Relations regarding collective bargaining negotiations, dated May 21, 2025, be received; and, That Council approve the collective agreement with CUPE Local 2380-09 for the 3-year term January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027; and That non-union employees receive the same negotiated terms as unionized employees relating to the 2025 cost of living adjustment, benefits, and paid time off entitlements; and, That a by-law to ratify the new agreement be brought forward for Council’s approval on June 4, 2025, at regular council meeting.

That By-law 2025-043 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on May 21, 2025 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 6:08p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on May 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
