Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of March 5, 2025 come to order at 4:30 p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 4:31 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose;  A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;  a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 5:55 p.m.

That the confidential report from the Legislative-Records Coordinator regarding Community Assistance Program Application 2025-01 dated March 5, 2025, be received; and, That Council approve the one-time contribution of $1,500.00 for Application 2025-01 to be funded from the Community Assistance Program; and, That Council hereby dissolve the Community Assistance Program and that the funds in the CAP account be distributed as follows: $5,000 to the Elmvale Food Bank and the remainder be allocated back to the Springwater Swing Fund.

That the confidential report from the Director of Public Works and Infrastructure regarding the Craig Road Extension Project Property Acquisition dated March 5, 2025, be received; and, That staff proceed as directed in closed session.

That By-law 2025-024 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on March 5, 2025 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 6:06 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on March 5, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
