Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of September 4, 2024 come to order at 4:00 p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 4:01 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;  Labour relations or employee negotiations;  Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board;  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; Topics: Volunteer Firefighters OMERS Qualification (Solicitor Client Privilege) Update regarding Insurance Claim (Identifiable Individual, Litigation or Potential Litigation) HR Update (Identifiable Individual, Labour Relations) Property Standards Committee - Review of Applications (Identifiable Individual)

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 5:01 p.m.

That the confidential memo from the Manager or People - Talent, Payroll and Benefits regarding Volunteer Firefighters OMERS qualifications, be received; and, That Council hereby direct staff to provide the required attestation to OMERS by the deadline to offer OMERS enrolment to the Township's volunteer firefighters.

That the confidential memo from the Committee Coordinator/Administrative Assistant regarding the Property Standards Committee Applicant Selection Package dated September 4, 2024, be received; and, That staff be directed, as per closed session.

That By-law 2024-066 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on September 4, 2024 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 5:03 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on September 4, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
