Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of June 19, 2024 come to order at 4:08 p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 4:08 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;  A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;  Labour relations or employee negotiations. Topics: Huronia West OPP Detachment - Community Board Member Recruitment Selection (Personal Matter - Identifiable Individual) Heritage and Culture Advisory Committee - Member Recruitment Selection (Personal Matter - Identifiable Individual) Spence Ave - Approval of Sale Price (Pending Disposition of Land) HR Matter -

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 5:05 p.m.

That the confidential memo from the Committee Coordinator/Administrative Assistant regarding the Huronia West OPP Detachment - Community Board Member Recruitment Selection dated June 19, 2024, be received; and, That staff be directed, as per closed session.

That the confidential memo from the Committee Coordinator/Administrative Assistant regarding the Heritage and Culture Advisory Committee - Member Recruitment Selection dated June 19, 2024, be received; and, That staff be directed, as per closed session.

That the confidential report from the Director of Corporate Services/Clerk regarding the Request for Purchase of Land – Spence Ave, dated June 19, 2024, be received; and That Council hereby approves a sale price of $17,600.00 for the lands described as PT LT 12 CON 4 VESPRA PT 1, 51R27757, SPRINGWATER. And Further That a by-law to declare the lands surplus and approve the sale of the lands be presented at the July 3rd, 2024 Regular Meeting for final consideration.

That the confidential report from the Chief Administrative Officer regarding HR Update dated June 19, 2024, be received; and, That Council hereby direct that staff bring forward a Program Change for the 2025 budget, proposing a Director of People and Talent, includng a proposed job description, for consideration.

That By-law 2024-050 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on June 19, 2024 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 5:28 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on June 19, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
