Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of April 3, 2024 come to order at 4:33 p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 4:33 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;  Labour relations or employee negotiations;  Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board;  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose. That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 5:44 p.m.

That the OLT update on Ballymore, be received; and, That staff proceed as directed in closed.

That the confidential report from the Deputy Clerk regarding Encroachment Agreements for Unopened Road Allowance on Flos Road Four West, dated April 3, 2024 be received; and, That staff proceed as directed in closed session.

That the confidential report from the Director of Corporate Services/Clerk regarding the Request for Purchase of Land – Spence Ave, dated April 3, 2024, be received; and That Council, regarding the lands described as PT LT 12 CON 4 VESPRA PT 1, 51R27757, SPRINGWATER, hereby designate the lands Non-Viable in accordance with by-law 2022-014 – Sale/Disposition of Land Policy; and, That Council direct staff to commence the process for disposition of the subject lands by direct sale; and, That Council hereby waive the requirements for a survey of the lands, as an existing survey is available; and, That Council hereby reconvene in closed session at a future date to determine the sale price of the lands once a valuation is received, prior to proceeding with any disposition of land.

That By-law 2024-023 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on April 3, 2024 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 5:47 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on April 3, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
