Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of November 20, 2023 come to order at 3:02 p.m.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 3:02 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A personal matter about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees;  Labour relations or employee negotiations. Topics: Cultural and Heritage Advisory Committee - Review of applications for committee vacancy (identifiable individual) Draft Salary Administration Policy - Report from Consultant (labour relations or employee negotiations)

That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 4:20 p.m.

That the confidential memo from the Committee Coordinator/Administrative Assistant regarding the Cultural and Heritage Advisory Committee Applicant Selection Package dated November 20, 2023, be received; and, That staff be directed, as per closed session

That the draft Salary Administration Policy, as presented by Telus Health, be brought forward to Council for final review and consideration in open session; and, That the benchmarking review, with assistance from a consultant, be conducted every 4 years, after the 2nd budget of each term of Council; and, That a yearly internal review take place of the salary grid; and, Further That a benefits appendix be including, outlining all non-monetary benefits. And That staff provide alternate options to a lump sump payment provision, including staff awards/recognition.

That By-law 2023-110 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on November 20, 2023 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 4:24 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on December 6, 2023 at 6:30 p.m.
