Special Council - Closed Session

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of October 11, 2023 come to order at 5:00 p.m.

That the report from the Manager, People – Talent, Payroll & Benefits regarding Non-Union Total Compensation, dated October 11, 2023, be received; and, That Council directs staff to engage the services of ___________________ to review and provide comments on the draft Salary Administration Policy. Amended C530B-2023 Moved by Cabral Seconded by Garwood That the motion now before Council be amended as follows: To add the consultant: Morneau Shepell; and, To add And That the consultant be requested to present to Council in closed session once all documents have been reviewed. And Further That all documents reviewed by the consultant be forwarded to Council by the Clerk prior to the closed session for review.

That in accordance with Section 239 of the Municipal Act , 2001, the Corporation of the Township of Springwater does hereby resolve to move into Closed Session at 5:14 p.m. for discussion pertaining to:  A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board;  Labour relations or employee negotiations. That the Council of the Township of Springwater does now rise from Closed Session at 6:00 p.m.

That the confidential report from the Manager, People – Talent, Payroll & Benefits regarding Volunteer Firefighter Compensation, dated October 11, 2023, be received; and, That staff proceed as directed in closed session.

That the confidential report from the Manager of Legislative Services/ Clerk regarding the Request for Purchase of Land – 546 Penetanguishene Rd, dated October 11, 2023, be received; and That staff proceed as directed in closed session.

That By-law 2023-094 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on October 11, 2023 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 6:02 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on October 18, 2023 at 6:30 p.m.
