Special Council

That the Special meeting of the Council of the Township of Springwater of May 8, 2024 come to order at 6:00 p.m.

That the presentation from Tony Guergis regarding the history of the Township of Springwater, be received. Amended C281B-2024 Moved by Cabral Seconded by Moore That the motion now before Council be amended as follows: Add And That Council direct that Tony Guergis Consulting continue to be retained to assist the Township, as required, in ongoing discussions with respect to potential boundary adjustment/annexation as it relates to the City of Barrie, with a meeting to be scheduled once staffing reports requested on the matter come forward. And That any future special meetings be scheduled in closed session, if topics meet permissions within the Municipal Act and if required. Councillor Garwood requested a recorded vote. Yes: Cabral, Alexander, Moore, and Fisher No: Coughlin, Garwood, and Thompson

That By-law 2024-037 to confirm and adopt the proceedings of Council at the Special Meeting held on May 8, 2024 listed herein be signed and sealed by the Mayor and Clerk.

That the Special Meeting of the Township of Springwater does now adjourn at 8:03 p.m. to meet again in a Regular Meeting on May 15, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
