Agricultural Advisory Committee

That this meeting of the Township of Springwater Agricultural Advisory Committee come to order at 7:07 p.m.

That the July 9, 2024, Minutes of the Township of Springwater Agricultural Advisory Committee be approved as amended.

That the Agricultural Advisory Committee 2025 Schedule received for information; and, That the 2025 regular meeting schedule be

That a letter be sent to the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority requesting clarification on the following topics: 1. Permitting Timelines and process 2. Agricultural Land - community value and prioritization 3. Drainage - farm drains and municipal Drains. 4. Modernization, including elevation and flood plains mapping updates; and, That, Springwater's Council be forwarded a copy of the letter to be received for information. Amended Resolution Moved by Chapman Seconded by Drury That the motion be amended as follows: To add That Springwater's advisory committee recommends that Council invite members Colin Elliott, Dave Spring, and Chair Mark Priest of the Springwater Agricultural Advisory Committee to represent the agricultural community's concerns in any NVCA-related meetings resulting from Council's July 3rd resolution C423-2024.

That the Springwater Argricultural Advisory Committee remove work plan item, Reduced 1/2 Load Restrictions from Items for Future Consideration. Amended Resolution Resolution Moved by Elliott Seconded by Ververs That the Springwater Agricultural Advisory Committee invite the Ministry of Transportation to attend a meeting to discuss 1/2 load restriction regulations under the Highway Traffic Act.
