Agricultural Advisory Committee

That this meeting of the Township of Springwater Agricultural Advisory Committee come to order at 7:05 p.m.

That the January 16, 2024, Minutes of the Township of Springwater Agricultural Advisory Committee be approved as presented.

That the Agricultural Advisory Committee establish a Workplan in accordance with the recommendations of the AAC 2024 Workplan report received at the January 16, 2024 meeting; and, That no more than three items be added to the active item list at any time, and, That the Committee approves the addition of the following items to its active item work plan: 1. Reduced 1/2 Load restrictions. 2. Meeting with the NVCA 3. Farm Garbage and Recycling Collection And that the Committee add the following items to the work plan for future consideration: 1. Single use agricultural bag plastics 2. Dead stock (pick-up) 3. Farm tour

That the Agricultural Advisory Committee appoint members Mark Priest and Matt Ververs to gather and compile information and present a proposal for reduced load exemptions for farm vehicles to Councillor Fisher and request he put forward a notice of motion at the next Council Meeting.

That the Agricultural Advisory Committee appoint Wanda Maw-Chapman, Mark Priest, and Colin Elliot to gather information and draft a motion aiming to get support from Council and other Simcoe County Municipalities to lobby County Council for Garbage Collection on agricultural properties that are not currently serviced with waste collection.

That the Agriculutural Advisory Committee receive the Phelpston Marsh Report for information.
